Cape Florida Light House, located at the southern tip of Key Biscayne. This light has a
long and distinguished history. Once attacked by the Seminole Indians the lighthouse
keeper dropped a lit keg of black powder down the stairwell and emptied the interior of
the structure. The stayed perched in the light for three days.

The inlet at Government Cut, port of Miami is now marked by this brand new architectural
structure. It can be seen from the deck of a sailing vessel for about twenty miles out
into the Straights of Florida.
